Website design
A website built for your business, not pulled off a shelf
One person designs it, builds it, writes it and keeps it running. From $1,500 one time, $99 a month after that.
A small business website from Droom costs $1,500 one time for a single scrolling page, $2,900 for a multi-page site, or $4,800 with a shop or booking system built in, plus $99 a month for hosting, backups and unlimited edits. Build time is about three weeks from the day you approve the direction. You own the site, and if you cancel it stays yours.
0.7seconds
How fast every content page on this site opens on a throttled phone. Measured, not estimated. Your site gets built to the same bar, and the bar is re-measured before every launch.
What you actually get
Every site is drawn from scratch around how your business wins a customer. A plumber needs a phone number the size of a headline. A dental clinic needs a booking slot visible before anything else. Those are different websites, not the same template in different colours.
The one-time figure covers design, build, writing, images, mobile, Google Business Profile setup and going live. There is no separate discovery fee, no change-request pricing and no charge for the first round of revisions.
How long does a small business website take to build?
About three weeks, measured from the day you approve the direction rather than the day you first email. Week one is structure and copy. Week two is design and build. Week three is your revisions, the Google setup and launch.
The thing that stretches a build is almost never the code. It is waiting on photos, waiting on the list of services, or waiting on somebody to decide what the business is actually called now. If you have those ready it can be quicker.
Will it work on a phone?
Most people who look you up are on a phone, standing somewhere, deciding whether to call. So the phone layout is designed first and the desktop version comes after, not the reverse.
That means tap targets big enough to hit while walking, a phone number that dials on tap, no horizontal scrolling, and a page that finishes loading on a mobile connection rather than an office one. Every site is checked on real viewport sizes from 360px up before it goes live.
What happens after it launches?
The $99 a month covers hosting, backups, security updates and edits. You text or email the change. It is live within 48 hours, in writing. You are messaging the person who built the site, not an account manager who has to relay it.
If you want to show up in the map pack, that is local search and reviews at $250 a month. Optional, and it can start later.
Who is this not right for?
If you need a fifty-page site, a custom web application, a team of five in a weekly stand-up, or somebody to be in your office on Thursdays, an agency is a better fit and I will say so on the call.
This works best for a business with one location or one service area, under about fifteen pages, where the owner makes the decisions and wants it done without managing it. See the trades, dental, salon, café, realtor, restoration, family law, med spa, marine and funeral home pages for what that looks like in practice.
Questions people ask before they hire
How much does a small business website cost in Vancouver?
At Droom a one-page site is $1,500 one time, a multi-page site is $2,900, and a site with a shop or booking system is $4,800, plus $99 a month for hosting and edits. Vancouver agencies commonly quote $6,000 to $15,000 for equivalent work, because that price also carries their office, project manager and account team.
Do I own the website or are we renting it?
You own it. The monthly plan is month to month after the first three months. Cancel with 30 days notice and the site stays yours, including the files and the domain.
What if I already have a website?
Then the free Field Test is the place to start: your site tested the way a customer uses it, the failures on video, and a fixed price to rebuild it. Most rebuilds keep the content and replace everything around it.
How many revisions do I get?
Two rounds are included in every build and are usually one more than anybody needs. A third round is $150. After launch, small edits are unlimited under Care and come back within 48 hours.
Do you write the content?
Yes. You will get asked questions about the business and the answers get turned into the copy. If you would rather write it yourself that is fine too, and it does not change the price.
